$100,000 College Tuition Scholarship

We are the corporate offices of the Barbizon Modeling and Acting Centers. Every other year, we award one person a full tuition college scholarship valued up to $100,000. IFDA Leaders Commemorative Scholarship

Open To Currently Enrolled, Full-Time Undergraduate Students, Extra Credit For Volunteer Work/Leadership The IFDA Educational Foundation established this scholarship, supported by the Georgia Chapter, to honor a past or present leader for commitment and service to the Georgia Chapter. Each year the scholarship honors a different individual whose name and contributions will be posted on the IFDA/EF website. This scholarship is available to any undergraduate student enrolled in an interior design or related program. The student must be involved with volunteer or community service and have held leadership positions during the past five years. ELIGIBILITY/GUIDELINES All applicants must have completed four design courses in post-secondary education at the time of application and be majoring in Interior Design or a related field. The completed application packet must include a sealed transcript of course work that verifies full-time status and shows your GPA. Transcript may be sent separately.

Catherine W. Pierce Scholarship

Catherine W. Pierce scholarship was established to support students who are majoring in disciplines within the Arts and/or History. Mrs. Pierce had a great interest in helping deserving students pursue the fields of Art or History. The award amount is up to $5,000. IFDA Student Member Scholarship

The IFDA Student Member Scholarship is available through the IFDA Educational Foundation to a full-time, current student member of IFDA who has completed a minimum of four design courses in a post secondary interior design or related program. An additional letter of recommendation from an IFDA Professional Member is required. The IFDA student identification number must be included on the application form. ELIGIBILITY/GUIDELINES All applicants must have completed four design courses in post secondary education at the time of application and be majoring in Interior Design or a related field. The completed application packet must include a sealed transcript of course work that verifies full-time status and shows your GPA. Transcript may be sent separately.

ATG Artistic Scholarship

To provide financial assistance and promotion of Asian American college students pursuing a major in the performing, visual arts, journalism and/or mass communications. Awards: $1,000 to be applied toward school tuition and fees General Eligibility Requirements: Must be of at least 50% Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity Must be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the U.S Must be either a high school senior or a college student currently enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. vocational, junior college, or four-year college/university and must be a full-time, degree seeking student by the upcoming academic calendar year and pursuing a major in the visual/performing arts (film, theatre, fashion, photography, graphic design, dance, music, journalism, mass communications, etc.) Have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) Family members of Board members are ineligible Selection Criteria: Selection is based on a rating system judged in five major categories. The candidate with the highest combined cumulative points will receive the scholarship. These categories are: Quality of content submission (essay, artistic portfolio) Academic performance Leadership/community service experience and contribution Letters of recommendation Phone/in-person committee interview Please note that those Scholarship Winners will be invited to attend our annual charity event, Fashion for a Passion held in Fall in Dallas, Texas. Fashion for a Passion is our biggest event of the year which helps to raise money for our charitable causes as well as for the current scholarship. The presence of scholarship winners is highly encouraged. Funds will be disbursed directly to the educational institution in the student’s name.

Leila I. Blajeski (“Mrs. B”) Memorial Scholarship Fund

Eligibility:    Graduating seniors at Kaukauna High School who plan to pursue higher education in a field of study related to Home Economics, Family and Consumer Education, Culinary Arts, Child Care, Fashion, or similar. The following will be taken into consideration to determine the recipient:  Minimum GPA of 3.0  Enrolled full time in an accredited two‐ or four‐year college, university or technical school or an accredited vocational school    Involvement in school and community activities  Conscientious and hardworking  Financial need Award Amount:      One $500 non‐renewable scholarship award for tuition expenses               Selection:    Recipients are selected each spring by the Kaukauna High School Scholarship Selection Committee.   

Business Majors Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria:•Must be of Hispanic background•Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico•Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year•Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time undergraduate or graduate student for the upcoming academic year•Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale•Must demonstrate financial need•Must be studying a major that falls under the Business Majors Application

Green/Sustainable Design Scholarship

Aware of increasing environmental concerns worldwide, the IFDA Educational Foundation established a scholarship for a student focusing on the evolving green/sustainable field of study. Sustainable design is the development of innovative ways to create living spaces that are energy efficient and feature green/sustainable materials, fabrications and products. The student applying for this scholarship is planning to become an educated participant in the green movement. Paying equal attention to both sustainability factors and design aesthetics, the student should be demonstrating creative use of green products and eco-friendly furnishings in class projects. The student is familiar with current information in the green/sustainable field, is applying this knowledge in class work and has a goal of seeking a future LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation. ELIGIBILITY/GUIDELINES All applicants must have completed four design courses in post-secondary education at the time of application and be majoring in Interior Design or a related field. The completed application packet must include a sealed transcript of course work that verifies full-time status and shows your GPA. Transcript may be sent separately. Application accepted each year between March 1 and postmarked no later than March 31. Winner will be notified by July 31. See application form for further requirements.

As fashion's leading educational non-profit, FSF grants the single largest sum of money and total number of scholarships in the entire industry. Annually, we present scholarships from $5,000 to $30,000 to the best and brightest students in both business and design.

Underwriter of the annual Geoffrey Beene Awards Dinner and contributor of over $5 million to the YMA FSF, the Geoffrey Beene Foundation offers four $30,000 scholarships annually to the most qualified and deserving scholarships. Each member school can submit one nominee who is then required to compete in the Geoffrey Beene case study. Eight finalists are chosen to come to the New York City to present their case study to the YMA SFS Executive Committee. The top four finalists are announced at the Awards Gala and granted an additional $30,000 scholarship award. In addition to the four $30,000 scholarships granted by the Geoffrey Beene Foundation, there are also four $10,000 scholarships awarded to the remaining Geoffrey Beene finalists. Eligibility:-Qualifying students must be enrolled as full-time students at one of the YMA FSF member schools-Eligible students must be a current freshman, sophomore, junior or senior. Please note seniors graduating in fall cannot compete for the scholarship-Must have an overall 3.0 GPA or higher-Majors closely aligned to the fashion industry, including, but not limited to: advertising, communications, consumer science, apparel design, graphic design, economics, fiber science, finance, information technology, management, marketing, merchandising, retail studies, supply chain management, etc.-Students must have a desire and passion to enter the fashion industry-Only one previous year $5,000 YMA FSF scholarship winner from each school is eligible for the Geoffrey Beene Scholarship and must be nominated by his or her school to be consideredFor more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
